Account Tokenization
Overview
Open Fabric offers a number of solutions that allow you to tokenize your customers' accounts into a payment instrument, which can be accepted by merchants either online or offline.
Planning your integration
As the integration into our Account Tokenization product may appear complex, we've structured our documentation to reflect the lifecycle of your integration into a number of stages.
The integration stages are as follows:
- Getting Started: Covers foundational information about our environment, APIs, Reports and SDKs
- Token Creation: How to tokenize your accounts into a payment instrument either within your Own App, a (third‑party) Digital Wallet or into a Virtual Card.
- Processing Payments: Explains how to either approve or decline transactions in real-time.
- Post-Payment Processing: Dives into reconciliation of payments as well as other events such as refunds, chargebacks and reversals.
Token Creation
We allow accounts to be tokenized in multiple ways. You can choose one or multiple options depending on your use case and commercial agreement with Open Fabric.
Regardless of how you tokenize your accounts, the integration required for Processing Payments and Post-Payment Processing is the same.
Own App Tokens
Enable Tap and Pay NFC payments with your own payment application by provisioning a token using Open Fabric's SDK.
Digital Wallet Tokens
Provision a token into the relevant digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay) to enable contactless payments.
Virtual Cards
Turn your accounts into virtual cards that can be used for online purchases.
